Project Manager – General Construction

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Estimator to join our General Construction team in our Denver, Pennsylvania office. The Estimator will take the project, mentally build the project, pull the necessary components together and establish, in an accurate manner, the anticipated cost of the project.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing drawings, plans, specifications proposals and other bid documentation to prepare accurate cost and labor estimates for proposed framing projects.
  • Preparing bid packages and analyzing subcontractor bids for most trades.
  • Maintaining accurate information on prices from supplier and contractors through direct contact and written material.
  • Prepares estimates, proposals, accompanying cost information.
  • Preparing proposals for submission to potential clients.
  • Understands and interprets, with accuracy, project blueprints, drawings, maps, bidding specifications, scope descriptions, contracts and related documents.
  • Addresses bid requests, estimates and proposals in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
  • Computer skills and experience with bidding and operational software (Microsoft Office, Post Frame Manager, and Microsoft Projects).
  • Solicits and receives subcontractor bids, reviewing for scopes of work and pricing for completeness.
  • Communicates with bidders for final overview and assures completeness of bid prior to inclusion in an estimate, bid.
  • Communicates with team members and others as required to convene scopes, pricing, construction details, etc.

  • Full-time

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 Years of construction experience.
  • Preferred experience in quantity take offs, labor & equioment cost estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with contractors and fellow employees.
  • Has an understanding of construction management, architecture or engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Coachable.
  • Ability to work 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and additional hours as necessary to meet business plan objectives, hours can be negotiated.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Assists in purchasing/buying of subcontractors and suppliers to perform work for the company.
