Brecknock Builders is a family-owned operation with a long-standing commitment to quality and craftsmanship. We have been building, and continue to build, quality steel and wood structures for residential, commercial, and agricultural customers since 1986. In the early years of our operation, Brecknock Builders served the local area mainly as a subcontractor. Our focus on superior quality, skilled craftsmanship, honesty, and integrity helps forge relationships with local subcontractors, suppliers, and developers. The father-and-son team of Titus and Jonathan Martin has a combined 60+ years of experience in the construction industry. In 2000, they acquired the company and grew it from twenty employees to more than fifty employees. Brecknock Builders has two distinct divisions – steel and wood construction – each with its own team of specialized and experienced staff.
In addition, Brecknock Builders is a trusted dealer for a number of well-known pre-engineered metal building manufacturers, including Ceco Building Systems, Nucor Building Systems, Corle Building Systems, and Trachte Building Systems.
We continue to seek opportunities throughout our local and tri-state area, within a two-hour radius of our location in Northeastern Lancaster County.
Fun Fact:
Brecknock Builders is named after the township where our office is located.
Brecknock is a modern derivative of the ancient Welsh town Brecon named for the founder of that kingdom.

Jonathan
Martin
MANAGING PARTNER
Jonathan purchased Brecknock Builders in 2000 and currently serves as the Managing Member. He is heavily involved with the company’s sales as well as estimating and managing projects.
He likes to see the employees get satisfaction from their jobs, and believes team morale plays an important role in production the high quality workmanship Brecknock Builders is known for.
Before purchasing Brecknock Builders, Jonathan worked in the construction industry as early as a young teenager.
Titus
Martin
GENERAL MANAGER WOOD DIVISION
Titus began his career with Brecknock Builders in 2000 and currently serves as General Manager of the company’s wood division. He estimates projects, purchases tools and equipment and manages construction crews. He most enjoys the satisfaction of a job completed successfully by the team where the customers is pleased with the work.
Prior to his work at Brecknock Builders, Titus worked for a small construction company for 22 years. He has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry.

Hoover
SALES / PROJECT MANAGER
Before his work at Brecknock Builders, Andrew worked in timber frame construction, building homes, bank barns and horse barns for over 20 years.
Jonathan
Kiefer
STEEL SALES AND ESTIMATING
Jonathan has been working for Brecknock Builders since 2009. As a Senior Estimator, Jonathan handles estimating, early design, and value engineering. “It is extremely satisfying to come to work every day with men of such high ethical character,” Jonathan says.
Prior to working for Brecknock Builders, Jonathan worked as a Project Manager for several large contractors and owned his own business. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and is a specialist in pre-engineered buildings and AutoCAD.

Styan
ESTIMATING & PROJECT MANAGER
Christopher enjoys bringing together dreams and ideas to create reality, especially in the construction of buildings that meet and exceed client expectations. With over 10 years of experience in the steel industry as a technician, Christopher has honed his skills in fabrication, welding, and millwright services for a broad client base. In his recent six years, he has transitioned to roles such as an estimator, supervisor, and project manager, focusing on structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and pre-engineered buildings across various sectors. Christopher is instrumental in estimating project costs, advising on cost-effective solutions, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. His commitment to clear client communication and collaboration is a cornerstone of his success at Brecknock Builders.

Miller
ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER
Matt brings over three decades of experience to the Brecknock Builders team, with 34 years spent honing his skills in the construction field. As an Estimator/Project Manager, he plays a pivotal role in collaborating with draftsmen and the sales team to merge top-notch design with exceptional value for our clients. Matt thrives on working together as a team to deliver not just buildings, but visions turned into reality, ensuring every project reflects both function and beauty. What he enjoys most about his role is the sense of unity and purpose he finds within the Brecknock team, making every project a collective success.
Drew T.
Miller
SITE SUPERINTENDENT
Drew joined the Brecknock Team in February 2018. As Site Superintendent of the Steel Division, Drew enjoys the interactions with all parties involved in the project onsite, as the job progresses. He works closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, inspectors, and customer to ensure the entire project comes together in an organized and timely fashion.
Drew began working in the commercial steel construction industry in 2011 and has been supervising projects since 2013.
Shawn
Smith
DRAFTSMAN
Shawn loves creating designs for attractive and yet efficient buildings. He worked as an architectural draftsman for 36 years prior to joining the team at Brecknock Builders. He worked on new homes, additions, light commercial, and townhomes.
At Brecknock Builders, Shawn helps clients see what their building will look like by creating 3D concept renderings. And, if needed, he can take their general ideas and build on them to create useful, flowing floor plans , and a building with an attractive curb appeal.

Loveland
STEEL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
With more than 40 years in construction, Gary has a diverse spectrum of experience and knowledge in the industry. He loves applying that knowledge to provide customers with a quality project and a great build experience.
Steve
Rooney
CONTROLLER
Prior to his work at Brecknock Builders, Steve worked as an Accountant Consultant for several small businesses. He also worked as a General Manager for a specialty building material supplier and contractor where he handled supervisory duties, public relations, marketing, profitability, sales, and service.
Steve has a B.S. in Business Administration from Millersville University and advanced knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles and tax strategies. He is also well versed in quantitative methods to manage and implement effectiveness, also known as KPI.

Babiarz
DRAFTSMAN
Jason loves working together as a team to accomplish great building projects for the clients. Before coming to Brecknock Builders, he worked for 5-½ years as a drafter in the construction field. He’s responsible to make drawings of Floor Plans, Elevations, Section cut, etc. along with creating 3D renderings to help clients see what their building is going to look like.

SITE SUPERVISOR & MANAGER
Javan has worked at Brecknock for 14 years; with several years of that being on the pre-engineered steel crew, but the majority of those years on the mini storage crew. He is responsible for all the large equipment tracking and scheduling. What Javan enjoys most is when everything goes smoothly on projects for the customer and the work crews… making a satisfying experience for everyone.

ESTIMATING / DESIGN / PROJECT COORDINATOR
Tom joined the Brecknock Builders team in July of 2018. As an Estimator/Project Coordinator, Tom conducts many of the estimates, design concepts, and initial project startups for the steel and wood divisions.
Tom has been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years, with extensive knowledge of both commercial and residential construction and code compliance. Tom has a B.S. in Industrial Tech/Visual Communications CAD Drafting from Millersville University.
He enjoys working through building design and details with customers to meet their needs and their budget.

PROJECT MANAGER
Jonas King, with a solid background as a field laborer in general construction for 9 years, currently excels as a Project Manager at Brecknock Builders. He coordinates the crews and manages supply deliveries to sites, ensuring projects run smoothly. Jonas thrives on the teamwork aspect of his role, especially enjoying the challenge of keeping jobs on track and the satisfaction of contributing to the creation of useful and beautiful buildings for Brecknock’s customers.

Tony brings 15 years of a experience as a Zoning, Permitting, and Building Codes Official for a Lancaster County municipality to Brecknock Builders. Tony’s expertise allows us to guide our clients through the complicated zoning and permit process with less hassle. And that helps us provide our customers with a service that very few companies are able to provide.

Travis Byler, with a foundation as a draftsman/CAD technician, currently excels as an Estimator at Brecknock Builders. Travis is passionate about the learning and discovery his role offers, embracing the idea that with creativity, there are no limits to what can be achieved. His expertise is vital in helping Brecknock deliver both useful and beautiful buildings to their customers.

Kevin thrives on solving complex problems and finding creative solutions. He loves turning intricate challenges into successful, dream-fulfilling projects.

With over 40 years in construction, Rick Blackwell has a strong background in concrete construction, problem-solving, leadership, and project management. As a Project Manager, Rick ensures customers get the job they expect by managing material orders and deliveries to keep projects on schedule.
Rick loves working at Brecknock Builders for the team collaboration and problem-solving spirit, making him an invaluable asset to the team.

STEEL PROJECT MANAGER
Bob Hoesch joined Brecknock in 2021 with over 10 years of experience in residential construction and commercial project management. As the Steel Project Manager, Bob manages turnkey projects, maintaining daily and long-term schedules for the steel division.
He loves working with the Brecknock team and enjoys seeing projects come together from design to completion, ensuring customer satisfaction every step of the way.

PROJECT MANAGER
Drew has been a dedicated member of the Brecknock Builders team for over 11 years, where he first gained hands-on experience as a field laborer. After taking a 3-year hiatus to attend a ministry school in Texas, Drew returned to the area and rejoined Brecknock Builders. Now, as a Project Manager, he plays a key role in helping customers plan and execute their projects from start to finish. Drew excels at thinking ahead, anticipating potential challenges, and working closely with clients to turn their vision into reality. His favorite part of the job is seeing a project come to life and knowing he had a small but meaningful role in its success.
